Krazy Kayakers!

A couple of weeks ago (when we should have been studying for finals) Brian decided to go kayaking with his good friend Chris (even though the temperature was in the 40s!) So they put on their wetsuits and set out in the Groveland Rapids near Blackfoot. It was really fun to seem them trying out some sweet stuff. Sorry I was unable to video the really cool stuff, but here's some videos and pictures all the same.

Second Chance Prom:

KLCE Radio Station had been advertising a free Second Chance Program a few weeks ago, and Amanda's brother Michael (not married yet) was going to take a date to it. So we decided we would join him. It was so much fun- just like high school again! We did the pre-dance date at the Frisbee Golf course at Ross Park in Pocatello with a bunch of people (we played with authentic frisbee golf frisbees, which is a little different and harder to play with). Then we had some dinner and got ready for the dance! We even got some flowers for each other. Then we headed on up to Idaho Falls to the Hilcrest High School where the dance was held. There was a ton of people! It was fun to see a bunch of 'mature' people dancing and having a good old time. It was such a wonderful night- it brought alot of memories back.

Richard and Lauren (Amanda's brother and sister-in-law) came too! It was Lauren's first dance! (she never got the chance to go to prom in high school)

Down at the Downs' in Downey

A couple of times in the last month we have gone down to Amanda's family in Downey. We have had so much fun! We had a little Easter Egg hunt as well as a birthday party for Amanda's brother Richard and some swimming in the pool.

Avery absolutely loved playing the pool. He would splash and kick and splash and kick and didn't mind that his face got wet.

Brian has been practicing in the pool with his kayak to get his roll down- he has been doing awesome! (he thinks he's ready for class 5, but amanda doesn't think so...) He hopes to go on some small rapids this weekend if the weather is nice.

Spring Break (a couple weeks late...)

Well, its been crazy busy since spring break happened a few weeks ago, and that it why we are so late getting this posted. We all drove down to Las Vegas for the whole week to spend time with Brian's brother and family, Mark, Sarah and Boyce. It was a very long car ride, and even though Avery got a little bored at times, it was worth the trip.

We went down to the strip and had lunch with Brian and Mark's cousins Melissa and Tryna at the Cheesecake Factory. We then watched the Belagio Fountains. It was really neat!


One of the days we went for a walk to the park nearby and just relaxed. We also went to Fremont Street that has lots of lights and fun stuff to see.
One of the funnest spots was the Hoover Dam. We took a tour of the dam and learned all about how they built it. It is so big and amazing!

The best sights to see were the Las Vegas Temple and the St. George Temple (on our way back). They were so beautiful and peaceful!!!
We had such a great time with Mark, Sarah and Boyce and want to tell them a BIG THANKS for a great week!!!
